Therapy with Asher (they/them)
About the Therapist
I’m Asher - a queer non-binary therapist based near Newcastle upon Tyne and working online across the UK.
My practice is informed by lived experience of queerness, neurodiversity, disability and the mental health system. This includes personal experience of therapy that has been deeply helpful, practices that have caused harm, and many spaces in between.
I’m autistic and was diagnosed as an adult, so I have a particular interest in working with late-diagnosed, self-diagnosed and questioning non-neurotypical people. I know how much it can matter to work with someone who understands masking, sensory needs, burnout and the pressure to seem 'normal', and in particular how this can combine with social expectations of women and AFAB people like myself.
