Trace Woolf
About the Therapist
I trained as a person centred therapist over 20 years ago and since then have been working in private practice and for organisations in the third sector. A few years ago I decided to devote my work solely to private practice and work full time in Norwich city centre. Norwich has a vibrant queer community which I am proud to be a part of. I also am involved in running a queer peer therapy network locally which meets 2/3 times a year.

Having had counselling myself I wanted to understand more about how the process worked. My training was in the Person-Centred approach. The philosophy behind this approach to counselling is that each client has the ability to move in the direction of a more fulfilling and satisfying way of being and living their lives. It is based on a trust in the inner resources of the client to find their own answers and directions.
I have experience working with various issues such as anxiety, depression, anger management, substance misuse, low self-esteem. I have a particular interest in working with people who wish to explore issues related to Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity and those identifying as neurodiverse.
