Woven Therapy: Blake Byles
About the Therapist
My MA in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy builds on my BA (Hons) in Psychosocial Studies; this foundation in understanding the intersection of individual psychology and social systems deeply informs my approach to therapy. I believe we are all woven together - with our past experiences, our communities, and the natural world.
This interconnectedness means that healing happens not in isolation, but through understanding our relationships and finding our place in the larger tapestry of life.
While my training is solidly rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy, I’m deeply interested in how traditional Indigenous wisdoms can inform and enrich therapeutic practice. Nature-connectedness, mystical experiences, and altered states of consciousness are all points of interest in my developing practice, and I look toward the growing disciplines of ecopsychotherapy and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy with hope and enthusiasm.

Though we share many universal themes, each of us has specific needs and contexts at any given time, and I shape my therapeutic approach fluidly and dynamically with you to meet your past, present, and future needs.
In our sessions together, you can expect me to bring a curious, non-judgmental presence to our work together, along with genuine respect for each person's unique story and cultural background. I believe in the power of attunement, where client and therapist lean into the sessions, co-creating a space of mutual understanding.
We will explore how our past informs our present, including repeated patterns of behaviour. Together, we will dig deep into unconscious drives, half-thoughts, unspoken words, and peculiar feelings, while always keeping an eye toward growth and possibility. My goal in our work together is to provide you with a grounding presence while enabling you to reclaim authorship over your past so you may dream of a sustainable future.
My clinical experience includes providing low-cost therapy at Cassel Associates in Greenwich, London and Body Positive, an LGBTQ+ charity in Crewe, Cheshire.Â
