My main modality is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Like counselling, CBT is a talking therapy. CBT is the treatment of choice for anxiety, depression, panic, OCD, PTSD and many other issues. CBT is an active therapy - what is discussed in sessions will be put into practice in your day-to-day life, where the majority of your recovery will take place.
I also draw on aspects of rational-emotive behaviour therapy, compassion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, internal family systems therapy, imago therapy and meta-cognitive therapy, as well as meditation and mindfulness practices.
I am respectful, warm, open and flexible. Our therapy will be collaborative, creative and evolving. Together we will look for ways to improve your relationship with yourself and enhance your experience of life.
In line with ethical practice, regulatory bodies and accreditation requirements, I regularly receive clinical supervision for CBT, PST and EMDR.
