About the Therapist
“Most people do not listen with the intent to understand, they listen with the intent to reply. They’re either speaking or preparing to speak”
Hello, my name is Gareth, I am an experienced (BACP) British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy Accredited Counsellor and have been working in this field for over 10 years. I offer a calm and safe place for clients who are experiencing emotional issues and distress to talk about how they are feeling, and what is causing them concern. I use an integrative approach, which means I see everyone as unique, so the counselling techniques will be tailored to your needs and personal circumstances and will help you feel more resilient and able to manage current and future changes.
I believe counselling should be meaningful, grounded in genuine warmth, positive regard and acceptance. By building these qualities into our confidential therapeutic relationship it will help us to explore the difficulties that you are facing and hopefully, together we can resolve or learn to manage them better.
