I hold qualifications in Counselling and Counselling skills from Birkbeck College, University of London. I trained at the Minster Centre and hold a Diploma in integrative counselling. I am currently completing my MA in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and my work is governed by their ethical framework. I also attend regular supervision.

I have further postgraduate qualifications in studies on humanities and social sciences.

Experience and approach:

My educational background is in social and political sciences and for the last 20 years I have worked in the mental health sector, the NHS and wellbeing services within higher education. I also volunteered for three years as a mentor for a charity that works with young LGBTQ+ people who have become homeless because of homophobia and transphobia.

When working together, I will draw not only from my clinical training but also from my other background experiences. My work history has meant that I have a lot of experience engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and identities. I am interested in how one’s social and cultural identity can impact one’s wellbeing. I also welcome clients to bring creative forms of expression through music, art, literature and nature.
