Hello, this is a listing for the GSRD therapy groups that I host in Dalston E8 and Holborn WC1. These are small groups held in comfortable settings where the support and encouragement of other LGBTQIA people can help you express yourself, relate to others, and make deep and meaningful connections in a therapeutically held group. They are fortnightly groups for 2 hours with up to six people in a group. Email for more information and to join my waiting list.

I’m a psychologist and dramatherapist with a private practice in central London. I support adults through individual therapy with a range of different issues, such as confidence and self-esteem, gender and sexuality, stigma and shame, and experiences of sexual violence. No matter what brings you to therapy right now, I am passionate about helping you understand what is going on and what you need to feel better. If you are struggling with difficult past experiences, I can provide specialist trauma therapy.

I strive to provide a safe and secure space for my clients to be able to explore with me the issues that have entered or are part of their current lives. I work with all genders and sexual orientations incorporating  clients who are on the spectrum either diagnosed or undiagnosed. I see therapy as a joint project where we learn from each other.

I am a EMDR UK Accredited EMDR therapist with extensive experience of helping lesbian and gay clients process trauma. I am also a BACP Registered counsellor. I work in Central London (Kings Cross) and St Albans, in-person. I also work online. Many of my LGBTQ+ clients have specific traumas relating to their sexuality and how others have treated them. I offer both long-term and short-term therapy.

Hello – I’m Sean,  Life is complex, messy, and for many of us in the LGBTQ+ community, often layered with questions of identity, belonging, and resilience. As a gay/queer therapist I offer an affirming, attuned space where your full self is welcome. Whether you’re exploring gender, sexuality, relationships, grief, or navigating trauma and transition, I bring a creative, soulful, and relational approach that meets you exactly where you are.

For many years, I didn’t believe in therapy. I thought friends and family could support us through difficulties and didn’t see the need for professional therapists.   But my views changed when a close friend went through a very painful period in their life and had counselling. I saw how therapy transformed them and began to think differently about it. I realised that, while the support of loved ones may be sufficient for some, for many it is invaluable to talk to someone objective, who is professionally trained to help.

Counselling/Psychotherapy can help us understand better how we behave, what motivates us, and how past experiences can affect current behaviour. By expressing whatever is uppermost in our mind, feelings, thoughts, wishes, fears, memories and dreams can be explored within the safety of the therapeutic relationship. The aim being to enable us to find more appropriate ways of coping with our difficulties and to bring about changes in our thinking, feeling and behaviour. Through exploration therapy hopes to enable us to live a more fulfilling life and reach our full potential in the face of life’s limitations.

I mostly work with people on their significant relationships – with family, partners, and themselves. I see both couples and individuals looking for insight, change or a deeper understanding of themselves. I have shedloads of experience, both inside and outside the counselling room. I came out in my 20’s, and have a special interest in the process of people finding and embracing their core sexual and gender identify.  I also work with people within a broad range of consensual, non-traditional relationships.
