Davis Emotional Well-being
About the Therapist
I have 14 years’ experience working in the fields of mental health, social care and charity sector with individuals of various age groups and diverse backgrounds. After completing a BA (Hons) in Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Social Work, I worked as a clinical social worker and operational lead in social care and the NHS with adults experiencing physical, cognitive and psychological difficulties. Several years ago, I decided to pursue postgraduate training in psychotherapy completing certifications in CBT and Psychological studies and a Diploma in Contemporary Psychotherapy. I furthered my development as a therapist by embarking on an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Coaching to support my clients to be empowered and motivated to pursue personal change and overall well-being. I offer my clients a confidential space where we can explore together difficulties you may experience. I endeavour to stay abreast of legislation, therapeutic methods and research pertaining to counselling and social care by attending training days/workshops and reading professional literature and research studies to support my work. I receive regular clinical supervision to augment my practice and professional development.

Counselling and Psychotherapy:Â I work with adults and couples offering short-term counselling and long-term psychotherapy in an effort to facilitate growth, enable change and foster healing of the entire person. Work with my clients varies in scope and timeframe from just a few sessions focusing on a specific concern or concerns, to 'deeper' and more far-reaching therapeutic work which can last a year or more. The approach to my practice is integrative which allows me to draw from various therapeutic modalities to tailor therapy to your individual and unique needs. Some modalities I utilise include CBT, Person Centered, Existential, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Solution Focused Therapy approaches. I can help you with many difficulties such as: Generalised Anxiety Stress (work related and personal) Depression or low mood Anger issues (OCD) Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Relationship issues Low self-esteem or shyness Bereavement and loss I also specialise in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly those struggling with their gender identity and/or sexuality. Furthermore, I work extensive with Black and Minority Ethnic clients and have supported individuals who experienced racial/ethnic discrimination.
Coaching and Personal Consultancy: I provide coaching and integrated counselling and coaching (personal consultancy). Coaching is a dynamic and self-generating process in which we work together to help you improve behaviours, performance, and enact positive change. Through the coaching process, you can develop a clearer direction in life and make meaningful and purposeful life choices. Personal Consultancy is a framework that integrates counselling and coaching approaches. Â This framework can support you to explore and re-balance your thinking, feelings, or habits to enable you to have a stronger foundation for change.
Clinical Supervision: I offer clinical supervision to qualified therapists and trainees either in-person or online. My approach to supervision is all about creating a safe and secure space for you to explore, learn, and grow. I aim to foster a secure, attuned, and trustworthy relationship where you feel free to discuss your practice, explore challenges, and embrace new perspectives. Using the Seven-Eyed Supervision model, I'll help you navigate the complexities of your work and gain deeper insights into your therapeutic approach.
