Jamie Pepper
About the Therapist
Hi! I’m Jamie. I’m a person-centred counsellor with particular experience in working with people around trauma, neurodiversity, gender identity, and non-traditional relationships – I myself am trans and nonmonogamous. I aim to provide a non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on for you, and what influences your feelings around it. I believe that understanding our experience is the key to feeling like we’re in control of our own lives. We can work together to establish what you want to work on, and potentially a time frame to work within – your choice!

My base training is in Person-Centred Psychotherapy. I have also spent the last four years counselling with STARS Dorset, a local sexual trauma charity. During that time I have undergone extensive training in trauma and polyvagal theory, and have been steadily gaining experience in supporting people to process their trauma. I also have a keen interest and am accumulating training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and incorporate this into my counselling, and trauma work in particular. When working in person, as well as traditional face-to-face sessions in a dedicated counselling space, I can also provide walk and talk sessions in the local countryside.
