Rebecca Darcy
About the Therapist
I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can express your authentic self, explore issues of identity and navigate life’s challenges. As a queer woman, I understand that LGBTQI+ individuals may face unique issues, including:
Coming out and identity exploration
Navigating relationships and family dynamics
Managing minority stress, discrimination, and internalized stigma
Issues related to power and oppression
Gender dysphoria and transitioning support
Sexual orientation
Coping with anxiety, depression, or trauma
Being trauma-informed means recognizing the widespread impact of trauma and creating an environment that prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment. I understand that experiences of discrimination, rejection, or violence can be deeply traumatic, particularly within marginalised groups.
Each person who comes for therapy is unique. Therefore, I work with who you are. I work at depth which means that I will help you to get to the roots of the dilemmas that you are facing. By going to the roots, we can see where problems originate and see how our early experiences have formed who we are today.
