I’m passionate about counselling adults and young people in the LGBTQ+ community. I spent many years feeling disconnected, alone and unsupported growing up gay in the UK. Eventually I found the support of local communities, mentors and specialist LGBTQ+ counselling services. Now I’ve dedicated my life and my business to providing Person-Centred therapy to other LGBTQ+ people who have been marginalised. Together we are stronger. Have you been struggling in some areas of your life and now want space to understand your own thoughts and feelings in a confidential setting? Have you received unwanted advice, opinions or judgement from friends,
I am a qualified therapist dedicated to providing affirming and inclusive therapy for the LGBTQ+ community. I believe that everybody deserves to be listened to without fear or judgment. Here, you can read more about my experience, and how I can support you. If you would like to find out more, get in touch, and we can arrange a time to chat. I look forward to hearing from you.
Across 9 years of psychodynamic counselling practice, I have come to an approach that is informed by my concurrent practice as an artist-gardener: co-creation, nurturing, growth and transformation are fused in our work together, cultivating the discovery of where and how you can live in yourself and in the world. The work of therapy resides in a space that we inhabit together, a space where meaning can be made or found. It is a place in the clearing. Here, lives and held views can be encouraged to be found, to be heard, and to potentially transform.
My work as a counsellor is focused solely on supporting people from the LGBTQ+ community. Using Transactional Analysis (TA), I support people to live life with greater autonomy, whether related to dealing with past issues or living life with greater authenticity today. TA is all about change, so together we will explore the issues you bring to sessions and look to find ways to change how you think, feel and behave in relation to these problems. I am experienced in supporting people with many mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, suicide, identity, loneliness, and relationships.
I am a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR therapist working with people experiencing difficulties such as complex trauma/PTSD, long-term health conditions and adjustment to diagnosis, anxiety, low self-esteem, and depression. I am passionate about working alongside people to enable them to achieve meaningful, long-lasting change by using evidence-based psychological therapy. I have experience working with a large range of mental health difficulties over the last 10 years; both within the NHS and private settings.
