Currently in my 50s my interest in training and then working as a therapist began in my late 20s when a friend suggested I might enjoy it. My journey from then, when I was working to make money as a computer programmer while volunteering at a place that billed itself as a sanctuary for suicidal people, has been long and varied, including training initially in psychoanalysis before exploring other modalities such as, in particular, Gestalt Awareness Practice and later Existential Psychotherapy. Some of the most rewarding times have been spent getting to know and working with LGBTQ colleagues and friends, whose compassion and kindness along the way have been invaluable.
I have a postgraduate diploma in integrative psychotherapy and an advanced diploma in existential therapy.
I am a member of the UKCP:

I have been working as a therapist in private practice for over a decade. My training was as an Existential Psychotherapist, a school of therapy that draws on philosophy as an aid to reflect on what it means to be a person.
I charge 50 pounds for each 50 minute session and have a limited number of reduced fee spaces for which the fee can be negotiated.
