Emma Wallen
About the Therapist
Hey, a passionate, award-winning Couples Therapist dedicated to helping queer and lesbian couples build deeply connected, loving, and fulfilling relationships.
What sets me apart? It’s not just my years of experience as a double-accredited integrative psychotherapist (BACP & NCPS) or my expertise in relationship dynamics, attachment styles, and conflict resolution. It’s that I bring something deeper, a fusion of therapy, coaching, and spirituality that is uniquely tailored to each couple I work with.
I know firsthand the complexities that can arise in relationships when you’re navigating love, identity, past wounds, and societal expectations. My personal journey fuels my passion for creating a space where you can be seen, understood, and guided with both expertise and lived experience.
I work beyond the textbook, blending Integrative psychological insight with practical coaching and deep inner work. Whether it’s helping you rebuild trust, deepen intimacy, improve communication, or break generational patterns, my approach is designed to be bespoke, exclusive, and transformational.
If you’re looking for a therapist who truly understands the nuances of queer relationships and offers more than just surface-level strategies, I’d love to support you on your journey. Let’s create the relationship you deserve; one that feels safe, empowering, and aligned with who you truly are.

I began my journey as a therapist with an Advanced Diploma in 2016 and opened my private practice in 2017. Since then, I’ve worked across diverse settings, including the NHS and non-profits, supporting individuals and couples through profound relationship challenges.
My specialization in couples therapy started in 2017, and I’ve continually expanded my expertise with advanced training in IFS, trauma therapy, mindfulness, and coaching. In 2021, I earned my second accreditation with the BACP, further strengthening my commitment to professional excellence.
In 2022, I began my group therapy training and went on to create safe, affirming spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community and women of colour, fostering connection, healing, and collective growth.
Beyond my professional training, my experience as a mother of three has shaped me in invaluable ways. It has taught me the power of resilience, deep emotional attunement, and the necessity of strong, compassionate boundaries, all of which deeply inform my work as a therapist. Balancing the demands of motherhood with my career has given me a grounded, practical approach to relationships, helping clients navigate challenges with both grace and clarity.
Holding a degree in Reflective Practice and a Diploma in Integrative Supervision, I bring a unique depth to my work, allowing me to see beyond what’s presented in sessions and guide couples toward deeper understanding and connection.
I’m honoured to have been recognised as the Most Attentive Couples Therapist for two consecutive years (2022 & 2023), a testament to my dedication to helping couples create meaningful, lasting change.
