Nicola Channing
About the Therapist
I am qualified person centred and CBT trained therapist. I am a MBACP registered. I have experience working with people with anxiety, depression, neurodivergent clients, LGBTQIA+ clients, polyamorous relationships, relationship difficulties, low self esteem and self confidence. Â I can help you to look for positive changes and get a better understanding of what is going on for you. To help you gain further self awareness and a greater sense of self. Â I work from Newquay in Cornwall I work online, by phone and face to face. Â I can offer a relaxed safe environment for you to share anything that might causing you to feel like you are not able to be your true self.
Relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, family problems, stress, trauma, loneliness or just struggling to fit in can make life and making decisions in life particularly tough and can often make us feel stuck, leaving us feeling like we have no direction. Talking about these experiences in a calm non-judgemental environment can help to gain focus and help us feel that we can regain control of our lives.
Past events can cause us to feel disconnected or confused, I can help by providing a supportive space to explore any emotions or feelings you may be struggling with to help make sense of these and find a more meaningful life.
We will work at your pace and can talk about anything you feel comfortable with. I have experience working with people with anxiety, and depression, people experiencing suicidal thoughts, and victims of domestic abuse as well as many day-to-day struggles that make life challenging.Â
I am MBACP registered and work according to their guidelines and ethical framework and have monthly supervision to ensure safe practice.Â
