Therapist - Beckenham and Bromley
About the Therapist
I’m Dilya, a qualified counsellor based in London. I offer counselling services both online and in-person, with locations in Bromley and Beckenham (South East London).
I also work with the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals from Asian, Black, mixed-race, Muslim, Orthodox Christian, and other diverse backgrounds.
All these difficulties may manifest in anxiety, loss of sleep, depression, burnout, and loss of meaning and connection.
My approach to therapy is warm, integrative, and holistic, and I am passionate about providing a supportive space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Services Offered:
• One-to-one therapy sessions (available both in-person and online)
• Short-term or long-term counselling
• Specialising in identity changes (parenthood, pregnancy, immigration, marriage, divorce, LGBTQIA+ issues, and more)
• Intersectional therapy (taking all your parts to work with them individually and together - i.e. working with LGBTQ+ individuals from various diverse backgrounds, race/religion/socio-economic status)
• Mindfulness techniques for anxiety, worry, and grounding
Whether you are facing a specific life transition or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to support you through it. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and work toward healing, self-understanding, and empowerment.
Specialisations:
I have a strong focus on helping individuals navigate significant changes in their life or identity. My key specialisations include:
• Mental health: anxiety, worry, depression, panic attacks, anxiety attacks, OCD, burnout, emotional instability, loneliness, disconnect with the world, loss of meaning or purpose, suicidal thoughts, grief, etc.
• Parenthood: Whether you are trying to become a parent or transitioning into parenthood, adjusting to new family dynamics, or managing the challenges of raising children, I offer a safe space to explore these changes.
• Pregnancy: The journey of pregnancy can bring a range of emotions, from excitement to anxiety, and may require emotional support to navigate the physical and psychological changes during this time.
• Immigration: The experience of moving to a new country can bring feelings of isolation, identity shifts, and cultural adjustment. I support individuals through the emotional and psychological challenges of immigration.
• Marriage & Divorce: Life changes such as marriage or separation can be complex and emotionally charged. I work with clients to understand their emotions, heal, and navigate these transitions.
• LGBTQIA+ Identity: I offer a supportive, affirming space for those navigating their identity within the LGBTQIA+ community.
