I have worked in specialist services supporting adults, young people, and couples with a range of difficulties, ranging from stress to severe psychopathology, in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
My experience includes working at
-
several national specialist teams (clinic for psychosis, adoption and fostering and psychosexual).
-
talking therapy services (common mental health problems)
-
health services (cancer support and brain injury)
-
eating disorders (Adults and young people/families)
-
forensic and prison services (severe mental health problems)
I have a particular interest in supporting people with low self-esteem and conducted my doctoral research in this area by examining the effect of a novel intervention for LGBTQ+ university students.
The above allow me to adopt an approach that is integrative, evidence-based, and tailored to each client. I aim to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences, gain insight into patterns, and build the skills and confidence to create positive, lasting change.
