About the Therapist
I am a fully qualified queer therapist, who uses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion focused therapy (CFT), and mindfulness techniques. I aim to create a supportive, warm, and encouraging space where we can explore whatever issues you are dealing with, and find ways to (re)connect to a more positive sense of self and wellbeing.I specialise in working with people experiencing eating disorders (including avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder or ARFID, bulimia, anorexia, binge eating, and difficulties with food or eating that don't fall under these diagnostic terms); body image difficulties; anxiety, panic and agoraphobia; and provide affirmative therapy for the LGBTQIA+ community.I work in an evidence based way, which means that I blend research-backed therapy with my clinical experience, and your own individual situation, values and preferences. All of my work is trauma informed, and I understand and work with the impact of trauma on our thinking, coping, emotions, and bodies. We make sense of 'what happened to you', rather than 'what is wrong with you'.I am based in Edinburgh, Scotland, and provide therapy online by video.
In our work together, my aim is to help you understand what’s been keeping difficulties going, while supporting you to develop new ways of relating to yourself and your experiences. Therapy isn’t about forcing change, but about building insight, confidence, new skills, and compassion, and taking steps at your pace towards a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.

I have experience of working with a range of people from all backgrounds and walks of life. Most of my clinical experience has come from working within an NHS psychological therapies team, a specialist service supporting people who self harm, and a nightline, where I also trained and supervised volunteers.
I have experience of working with neurodivergent people, particularly those with autism and ADHD, and adapting therapy to better suit neurodivergent people's needs. I am kink, BDSM, non-monogomy, and polyamory aware and allied.
