Hi, I’m Nick. I’m a pluralistic counsellor offering therapy online across the UK and in person in central Edinburgh. I specialise in working with trans, nonbinary and gender questioning clients, however, I welcome clients of all genders. I regularly work with neurodivergent people, people in poly or non-monogamous relationships and LGBTQIA+ people more broadly. I work in a trans affirming, sex positive, trauma-informed way, focusing on offering a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space where those I work with can be truly heard.

My name is Charlie (they/them) and I’m a person-centred and psychodynamic therapist. As a neurodivergent trans practitioner I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent and LGBTQ+/queer clients. 

I offer face-to-face therapy for individuals and couples from my practice in central Edinburgh. I support LGBTQ+ clients in exploring identity, healing from past experiences, navigating anxiety or feeling stuck. I also work with couples wanting to rebuild trust, strengthen connection, or move through challenges together. Whether you’re seeking personal growth or support in your relationship, I offer a calm and non-judgemental space to explore what’s going on—at your pace. With genuine care and integrity, I help clients feel heard and understood—opening the way for meaningful insight, deeper connection, and lasting change.  

I am a fully qualified queer therapist using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion focused therapy (CFT), and mindfulness techniques. I aim to create a warm, supportive space where we can explore whatever difficulties you are facing with curiosity and compassion. I specialise in eating disorders (including ARFID, bulimia, anorexia and binge eating), body image concerns, anxiety, panic and agoraphobia, and provide LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy. My approach is evidence-based, combining research-backed methods with clinical experience and your individual needs. My work is trauma-informed and focuses on understanding what has happened to you, rather than what is “wrong” with you.
