Brett Dean
About the Therapist
I’m a CBT and EMDR psychotherapist with almost a decade of experience of delivering therapy. I provide in person and online therapy. I am dedicated to helping people better understand themselves, navigate emotional difficulties, and move towards a more grounded and fulfilling life.
I know that seeking therapy often comes at a point where something feels difficult, painful, or uncertain. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, stress, relationships, identity, or feeling overwhelmed, therapy can provide a space to explore these experiences safely and thoughtfully.
My aim is to offer a calm, collaborative, and compassionate environment where you feel genuinely heard and supported. I have a particular interest helping people struggling with anxiety and trauma.
Along with my passion for working within the LGBTQ+ community, I support a range of people with a range of difficulties. My areas of interest also include individuals navigating perinatal experiences, adoption, parenting, long-term health conditions, and persistent pain. I recognise that these experiences can bring unique emotional, relational, and identity-related challenges, and I aim to offer a compassionate, affirming, and thoughtfully tailored therapeutic space.

I am an LGBTQ+ affirming CBT and EMDR therapist with experience supporting people across the LGBTQ+ community. My work focuses on identity, minority stress, relationship and familial trauma, social anxiety, self-esteem, and the emotional impact of discrimination, rejection, or feeling unable to be your authentic self.
I believe therapy should be collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the individual rather than driven by a single model. While I draw on evidence-based approaches including CBT and EMDR, I adapt therapy to your needs, goals, and pace. My aim is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted, without needing to educate your therapist or explain your identity.
