I am a person-centred, pluralistic counsellor, and my approach is rooted in the powerful healing and movement that can take place when we are met with genuine warmth, acceptance and understanding. I welcome people from all walks of life, and I honour the many ways we can experience identity, neurodiversity, and ability. I will work with you to uncover your own internal wisdom and respond to your individual needs. We’ll go at your pace, and I’ll listen with care to support you in finding clarity, new ways of coping, and a stronger connection to yourself. https://www.lucysheringcounselling.com/
Hello, I’m Lucy and I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist, I believe that no two people are alike – neither should their therapy be. Based in London and supporting clients worldwide, I work with people experiencing a variety of challenges including sexuality, gender identity, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, trauma, and life transitions. My goal is to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings while working collaboratively toward solutions that are right for you.
I have been working as a psychotherapist for over 20 years. Before that, I spent 15 years in front-line and management roles across addiction, mental health, criminal justice, and homelessness services. All of it, in one way or another, was about understanding why we do the things we do. In recent years my work has increasingly focused on the intersection of trauma and neurodivergence. These are not separate states, but are deeply connected, and that connection is close to the heart of how I work.
Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Supervisor, Coach, with over 30 years’ experience in London and abroad. PhD, MA, UKCP registered Supervisor, MBACP (Snr accred), ACC (coaching), EMDR, Systemic/Couple and Family Therapy/ Accred AGSRDT
Hi there, I’m Peter. Thanks a lot for taking a look at my profile. I am a Psychotherapist with significant specialist experience working with LGBTQI clients around issues of self, sex and relationships, gender identity, family, trauma, physical and mental health, substance use, neurodiversity, education/employment, sociality and loneliness, and multimorbidity. I support clients internationally and offer short- and long-term interventions, to consistently improved wellbeing outcomes.
I identify as neurodivergent, non-binary, transgender, queer, and am in occasional non-monogamous relationships. I am also a Body Psychotherapist, focusing on the physical-emotional experience of gender-diverse folk: queer, trans, non-binary, and anyone exploring their gender identity. The realization I wanted to be a therapist came when I “woke up” and reconnected with my gender identity as a transgender & non-binary person. I then realized I wanted to help others going through their gender journeys while also facing a sometimes hostile world.
I am a qualified person-centred therapist and registered member of the BACP. I work with adults in Clapham (SW4) and online, offering a supportive, confidential space to talk openly and at your own pace. I believe therapy should be a space where your full identity is recognised and respected. As a gay and neurodivergent therapist, I bring both personal and professional insight into the complexities of sexuality, gender identity, and neurodiversity. I work affirmatively and inclusively, with curiosity and care for each client’s lived experience.
You might be feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, confused and facing challenges that are uncomfortable and distressing for you. It’s not always easy or possible to speak about what’s going on with friends, family, partners or colleagues for fear of being judged or misunderstood. This can leave you feeling unseen, unheard, worried and alone. Person-centred counselling provides a supportive, inclusive and affirmative relationship to share about what’s really going on. No judgements here. Just warmth, understanding and practical support with the next steps. As well as offering person-centred counselling I also run retreats teaching mindfulness, nature connection, yoga and small group
I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy in Cambridge and online, and have particular experience of working with people in the GSRD communities, including leading workshops for gay men.
