About the Therapist
I am a qualifed Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor. We collaborate to find the way forward together, empowering you to uncover your own strengths and resources and I help you develop new strategies and practices to support yourself.Â
I also incorporate CBT, mindfulness, self-compassion practices to support you in finding inner connection and self-regulation; and aspects of the psychodynamic approach to explore relationship patterns and their origins. Â
I am a trained mindfulness instructor and will offer guided meditations in session to support our work and send you carefully selected guided audio practices to use at home.

I started my training in the addictions field, building on my long experience on teachin in prisons, where many of the learners had addiction histories. I also trained at Women's Aid, working with women who had experienced domestic abuse and were suffering from PTSD & trauma, often complex trauma. I have many years experience working with vulnerable groups as well as in prisons, with refugeess and asylum seekers, and with children.Â
The person-centred approach provides you with a safe, non-judgemental space in which to talk and to be heard. This in itself is such a truly rare thing in life and so valuable and empowering. I draw from CBT looking at patterns of unhelpful thinking and behaving and finding ways to challenge these. Mindfulness and self-compassion practices are integrated into this work and support it as a means of noticing and challenging the inner critic and finding new, kinder ways to relate to ourselves. Exploring relationship patterns draws from the psychodynamic approach and can provide insight and understanding in tracing patterns to their origins.
Together we will find the most comfortable path for you towards self-actualisation.
