About the Therapist
My name is Cat and I have been working with Gender and Sexual Diversity since qualifying as a counsellor in 2014. Alongside counselling, I also have previous experience as a youth worker, organising and facilitating groups for LGBTQ+ young people, and have extensive experience working for the NSPCC.Â
I work with all individuals from age 12, and have a particular interest in working with young people. I am also a supervisor and trainer with a focus on Gender, Sexual, and Relationship Diversity.Â

I work from a humanistic, person-centred foundation and have additional training and experience in Single Session Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I believe in taking a pluralistic approach recognising that different approaches, different things will be helpful to different people at different points in their life. No one size fits all and I will always work to support you as an individual.
I have particular experience in working with suicidal ideation, self-harm, young people who are care experienced, gender identity, trauma, mental health diagnoses, abuse, and self-esteem.Â
