I’m Max (he/him), a queer counsellor working with LGBTQ+ adults who feel disconnected – from community, from relationships, from themselves. I work online and in-person in King’s Cross and Croydon. I particularly understand the “am I queer enough?” question, the exhaustion of masking, and the isolation that comes from navigating spaces that weren’t built for you. I also work with creative professionals dealing with the pressures, precarity, and loneliness of arts work – something I know firsthand from my years in that world before becoming a counsellor.

Hi, I’m Bertil, a queer trauma informed therapist that works with you to understand how your past might be affecting you in the here and now. At the root of my practice lays a non-judgemental anti-oppressive practice which is shaped by my passion for social justice. I see my role as to support you to find the answers that exist within you, but that can get drowned out with the loudness of everyday life. I work attending to the body and the mind, helping you learn to speak the language of your body with more ease.

My aim is to create a compassionate, inclusive space where you can slow things down, feel understood, and begin to heal — rebuilding self-trust, clarity, calm, and more authentic connection with yourself and others.
