Welcome, I’m Joy (she/they). I’m a qualified psychotherapist working with individuals and couples, in person and online. With particular experience in LGBTQIA+, Neurodivergence & the Performing Arts, I offer a compassionate, sincere and confidential space for individuals and couples to work through their experiences. My practice is trauma informed and neuro-affirming, which means I am comfortable working with trauma-based and neurodiverse frameworks. I work with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self esteem, attachment, bereavement, dissociation and stress. Mostly, though, I am interested in you, and supporting you with the courageous decision to get to know yourself better.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I provide a service that combines several therapeutic practices, all aimed towards helping you feel whole again. My role is to help you gain clarity and insight into whatever it is you are struggling with, supporting you on your journey to improved mental and emotional wellbeing.

I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist working online. You may be struggling with a specific issue or pattern of behaviour and know already what you would like to talk about. Alternatively, you may be feeling down and low and need support with processing your feelings and emotions. Counselling may be able to offer a fresh perspective, or support you to make changes needed to get you to a better place. I work with people from all backgrounds, in a range of areas. I  have worked closely with male issues and have experience working with gender diversity and LGBT+ issues.

I offer therapy online or over the telephone. My therapy is a way for you to gain a better understanding of your life within a safe, friendly and non-judgemental space. It can help you to move forwards with a much clearer mind and to gain more perspective over what’s going on for you. It can help you to feel in control of your life and empowered to make changes.  Issues that clients have brought to sessions with me have included: anxiety, bereavement, grief, depression, relationship problems, family breakdowns, gender, and sexuality.
