Hello! I’m Stephanie (she/her), a psychotherapist based in South East London. I openly identify as a queer Lesbian. At the risk of feeling old, I have worked in mental health services for almost 20 years.  I enjoy working within the LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent community and find it some of my most rewarding experiences. For anyone feeling like they don’t fit in, I am here to support you. I work mostly online but do offer face to face appointments.

My name is Emma Hinkson, and I am a psychotherapist working with individuals and couples. I currently practice out of the Light Centre near Clapham Common, where I offer sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and collaborative, supporting clients through a wide range of personal, relational, and emotional experiences.

I strive to provide a safe and secure space for my clients to be able to explore with me the issues that have entered or are part of their current lives. I work with all genders and sexual orientations incorporating  clients who are on the spectrum either diagnosed or undiagnosed. I see therapy as a joint project where we learn from each other.

I am a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor and Accredited/Registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and Prof/Accred member of NCS (National Counselling Society). I am also a member of EMDR Association UK. 

I am experienced and easy to talk to, and work with empathy and acceptance of difference, and the struggles we face in being human. This is my foundation as a psychotherapist. My focus is on appreciating each person’s emotional landscape, and attending to aspects that may be causing difficulty. I have identified as lesbian/gay/queer since I was 20 and lived as part of London’s diverse queer scene since then. I am familiar with the pleasures and pains of being LGBTQ+, and the changing cultural terrain.
