Dan Cohen
About the Therapist
I offer a free 20-min call to discuss what's been happening for you and to ask any questions you might have about me or the process. After that, I offer a reduced-fee introductory session, which is a chance to try out working together and see how it feels for you.Â
My Background
Before training as a therapist, I worked for over a decade in film, TV, and theatre, in a number of different roles.
I am Jewish, and as a member of a minority group, it is important to me to create a practice that feels welcoming to all people, no matter what their cultural, ethnic, or religious background or experience. If you have any concerns about feeling safe within the therapy space, please get in touch, and we can talk them through.
- Heterosexual
I trained at The Minster Centre, receiving an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling. I'm in the final stages of completing my MA at the same institution.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP):

My Experience
I have worked for several low-cost community therapy services, seeing people with a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, struggles at work, addiction, shame, issues of self-worth, eating disorders, grief, loss of meaning, eco-anxiety, spiritual and existential crises, and questions around sexuality, gender, and identity. If you're bringing something that isn't on this list, it doesn't mean it's not welcome, reach out and we can discuss whatever is bringing you to therapy.Â
My Approach
I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can bring your worries, share your feelings, and be heard with warmth and compassion. Whatever you are going through, you don’t have to deal with it alone.
If you are coming to therapy, you are probably looking for something in your life to change. By working together, we can help you understand yourself more deeply and create the possibility for real and lasting change.
I work in a relational way, which means I don’t set homework or use worksheets. Instead, I want our work to feel like a collaboration. You don’t need to do anything special; you can turn up exactly where you are, and we will start from there.
I offer in-person therapy in my rooms in Camden Town, online therapy via Zoom, and walking therapy in Regent's Park.
