Dr Jeremy Oliver
About the Therapist
I am a gay man who has lived in London for many years, enjoying the green spaces and vibrant city life with my husband and dog. I worked for 10 years in legal policy and leadership development in the City and Whitehall, supporting ministers and board members with national policy development and organisational change. I then trained as a clinical psychologist and have worked for 15 years in the NHS, with a particular specialism in autism and ADHD. I am now a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in an NHS hospital, with a small private therapy practice alongside.

As a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, I offer you warm, thoughtful and evidence-based support and treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma and a wide range of mental health difficulties. If you decide to come and see me, we can talk about past experiences, current challenges or future life plans. Sometimes we’ll talk about all three, if that’s helpful.
I take an integrative therapeutic approach, centred around Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), where appropriate.
I run an inclusive practice, celebrating human diversity and uniqueness. I am a member of the LGBTQIA plus community and welcome clients from that community. I'm neuro-affirmative, with extensive experience of autism and ADHD assessment and support.

My fees are £200 per hour for initial consultation and therapy sessions. At your initial consultation, if we agree to do some therapy together, we will schedule some hour-long weekly or fortnightly sessions. I will give you an estimate of the number of sessions that I think would be helpful based on what we have discussed. We can then review and agree more sessions together if helpful.
Specialist cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments start at £250 per hour for assessment and report-writing. They may cost more if additional resources or colleagues are needed. At your initial consultation session, I can give you a quote for the full assessment and you can decide then if you want to book the assessment with me.
