About the Therapist
I encourage face-to-face sessions wherever possible, but am happy to work on line also. I will ‘meet’ you wherever you are in your journey, and we will travel together from there. We will work together for as long as appropriate to explore what you bring.

Choosing to engage with therapy can feel like a big step, and it's important to find the right therapist for you. I work relationally, and employ a psychodynamic approach. Put simply, this means that we will explore together the ways in which you have dealt with experiences and relationships in the past so that we can inform the ways in which you deal with experiences and relationships in the future.
Due to the process of "benign neglect" LGBTQI + people can sometimes develop unhelpful responses to situations which can hold us back. We get the world we think we see (or hear).
Exploring childhood memories, dreams, doodles, body language and fantasies, you will discover unconscious beliefs, feelings and world views that have limited you - and in that discovery find greater autonomy and freedom, and the chance to let go of unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour.

If this seems like a good fit for you, do get in touch. I offer an initial 30 minute session free of charge, to assess the scope and nature of the work. If we both agree that we would like to work together, subsequent sessions will be 50 minutes, on a sliding scale from £60 - £75 per session.
