Dr Siri Harrison
About the Therapist
I am a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice. When working with clients, I value a collaborative relationship. I’m down to earth and take an active role in addition to listening. I provide feedback, clarification and education around a given problem, as creating an understanding is essential to effecting change.
In practice, I don't just focus on the problems, but also ask my clients to go deep and explore what brings them meaning, purpose, peace of mind, and joy since these aspects of living are crucial in terms of healing and living a fulfilled life. In addition, I outline the practical steps that need to be taken to actualise this change.
I am registered with HCPC and chartered by the BPS in the UK. I additionally hold licensure in New York State in the US.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to New York City at the age of 18 and earned an MA and Doctorate at the New School for Social Research. I moved to the UK in 2011 at the age of 34 and have lived here since.Â
I am now 45 years old. I came out at the age of 15 and proudly identify as queer, lesbian and gay. I practice affirmatively with the queer, gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans community and feel very passionate about helping the members of my community to heal in the face of so much stigma and discrimination. As such, I now run a group practice which specialises in working affirmatively with the LGBT+ community.Â
I am accredited, registered, and licensed both in the UK and the USA.
