About the Therapist
I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have worked with clients from LGBTQ+ and many other communities through organisations including Mind and The Gestalt Centre London.
In counselling, I offer a confidential, supportive space where we can work collaboratively and without judgement to explore at your own pace whatever feels important to you. Rather than interpreting your past, we focus on making sense of how things are now so that new possibilities and choices can emerge.
Alongside my counselling practice, I am also a sociologist of music (PhD, University of Cambridge) and have composed music for film and theatre. My background in music and ethnographic research shapes my interest in listening closely to how people experience their lives, relationships and identities.
You are welcome to contact me to arrange an initial conversation to see whether working together might feel right.

My core training is in Gestalt therapy, and I work integratively drawing on different therapeutic approaches depending on what may be most helpful.
Gestalt therapy focuses on increasing awareness of how we experience ourselves, others and the world in the present moment. Rather than analysing or interpreting your past, we pay attention to how things feel and unfold now. In therapy, I will work with you collaboratively, creatively and without judgement to create a space where you can explore your experiences. This awareness can open up new possibilities and widen your choices going forward.
In a typical session, we move at your own pace, so there is space for curiosity and reflection in the process. We would usually begin with whatever feels most present or important in your life. Sometimes this may involve talking through current situations or relationships; at other times we may slow down and notice how emotions, thoughts and bodily responses are experienced in the moment. At other times, we may explore patterns in relationships or ways of experiencing emotions and situations.
My aim is not to interpret or diagnose you, but to support a process of awareness and understanding that can open new possibilities for how you experience yourself, your relationships and your life.
