About the Therapist
As an Integrative Counsellor, I draw on a range of theories to work in a way that best suits your needs. I can offer a warm, compassionate, and empathetic space to explore your difficulties and understand what might be underlying these. I am passionate about mental health and seeing the whole person, as well as the importance of hope, empowerment and finding your own sense of identity and/or meaning in your journey. Â
I can work with a range of presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, body image and bereavement, with the aim of helping you make sense of your experiences and cope with an often difficult world. I have experience working with neurodivergent individuals as well as individuals with various mental health difficulties and trauma histories.
Reaching out is hard sometimes, and it can take courage to just consider counselling, never mind open up. And so, I offer both short-term and long-term counselling, so we can go at your pace.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I draw on various theories to work in a way that best meets the individual's needs. I draw on Gestalt, Psychodynamic and CBT approaches and work relationally with the individual - that is, the relationship between us is central to the therapeutic work. This relates both to building and a compassionate, empathetic relationship to facilitate safety and trust, and drawing on the relationship between us to better understand your difficulties and how this might relate to other relationships in your life, too. I can also help you explore different ways of coping with the world and, where appropriate, new perspectives.
