Jon Wise
About the Therapist
My name is Jon Wise, and I’m a qualified psychotherapist offering an affirming, grounded, and thoughtful space to explore whatever brings you to therapy.
I specialise in working with gay men and members of the LGBTQ+ community, creating a space where you don’t need to explain yourself or edit parts of who you are. Whether you’re navigating shame, anxiety, low self-worth, or challenges in relationships, we can work together to make sense of what’s going on and move towards greater self-understanding and confidence.
I work integratively, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. Sessions are available both online and in person, giving you the flexibility to choose what feels best for you.
Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and always led by what you need at your own pace.

As a gay therapist, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. I understand how growing up in a world that often doesn’t reflect or support who we are can leave lasting impacts—on our self-esteem, our relationships, and how safe we feel in ourselves.
I’m a fully qualified integrative psychotherapist, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic models depending on what’s most helpful for you. My work is relational and client-led, with a strong focus on building a safe, respectful, and affirming connection between us.
My practice supports clients with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, shame, overthinking, people-pleasing, body image, and difficulties around sex and intimacy. I have particular experience helping gay men explore issues of identity, loneliness, internalised homophobia, and feeling “not enough.”
Our work together can help you understand the roots of these struggles and begin to relate to yourself in new, kinder ways. It’s a space to make sense of things, feel less alone, and reconnect with who you are—without judgement.
