About the Therapist
Hello, my name is Kane. I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely without shame. Together, we will explore your experiences to gain deeper insight, make sense of your challenges and build your confidence, to take meaningful steps toward healing and personal growth.
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, or inner conflict. You might feel pulled in different directions by parts of yourself that seem to want opposite things, or caught repeating patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface, bringing understanding to these inner tensions.
At the start of therapy, I work in a person-centred way, helping you feel safe, heard, and understood. As we get to know each other and I develop a fuller picture of your life and experiences, I begin to work in a more active and direct way. This can include gently noticing and exploring patterns that feel familiar or stuck, including ways earlier experiences may still be influencing how you relate to yourself, others, and the world today.
I’m an integrative psychotherapist with experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients and people from all walks of life. I believe meaningful change happens through authentic human connection, being met by someone who is present, curious, and engaged with your experience. Therapy with me isn’t about being fixed or told what to do; it’s about making sense of your story and finding new ways of relating to yourself and those around you.
I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, neurodiversity (including ADHD and autism), questions around identity, sexuality and gender, and a deep desire to feel understood and to belong. I deeply respect diversity and welcome clients of all backgrounds, ages, genders and sexualities.
My practice is based in Barking Riverside (IG11), and I offer both in-person and online sessions. Therapy with me is collaborative, holistic and relational, taking into account your emotional, physical, and social wellbeing, and working at a pace that feels right for you.
