Karen Savage
About the Therapist
I provide a compassionate, affirming therapeutic space tailored to the unique experiences of all individuals and relationships. Whether you’re exploring your gender identity, sexual orientation, coming out much later in life or navigating relationship dynamics within non-traditional partnerships, I’m here to support you.
Together, we can work through challenges such as:
•Coming out and identity exploration
• Internalised shame or societal stigma
•Relationship and communication struggles
•Navigating transitions, including gender or relationship changes
•Managing anxiety, depression, or trauma related to LGBTQIA+ experiences
•Building self-acceptance, confidence, and resilience
My approach is flexible and inclusive. I combine evidence-based methods with an understanding of the specific cultural and social contexts that impact LGBTQIA+ lives. Therapy with me is a judgment-free zone where you can feel safe, heard, and empowered to live authentically.

Having come out as fluid later in life and being neurodivergent, I understand firsthand the complexities of identity exploration and navigating the world differently. Shifts in how you see and express yourself can bring up uncertainty, fear, and sometimes feelings of isolation. This lived experience deeply shapes how I work with clients, offering empathy and insight from a place of understanding.
My approach is integrative and tailored to your needs. For past or historical trauma, I use therapies such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and psychodynamic therapy to gently explore and heal deep-rooted issues. To help disrupt unhelpful patterns and foster positive change in your daily life, I use Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques. All therapeutic methods are carefully guided by me to ensure they suit your pace and comfort.
Therapy with me is a space where your fluidity, neurodivergence, and unique story are fully embraced- no explanations required, no judgment given. I walk alongside you as you reclaim your power, disrupt old patterns, and live your truth with confidence.
