Karen Savage
About the Therapist
Having come out as fluid later in life and being neurodivergent, I understand firsthand the complexities of identity exploration and what it means to move through the world a little differently. Shifts in how you see and express yourself can bring up uncertainty, fear, and sometimes deep feelings of isolation. This lived experience shapes the way I work, with empathy, openness, and a deep respect for your unique journey. My approach is collaborative and always tailored to your needs. When working with past or historical trauma, I draw on approaches such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and psychodynamic therapy to gently explore and heal long-standing patterns. To support meaningful change in your day-to-day life, I use Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help disrupt unhelpful habits and promote growth. In relationship therapy, I use the Gottman Method, a research-based approach that focuses on improving communication, strengthening emotional connection, and building a more resilient partnership. If you're ready to explore what’s next for you, I’d be honoured to support you. Feel free to get in touch to see if working together feels like a good fit.
