Matthew Athey
About the Therapist
As a gay man, I understand the importance of feeling truly seen and accepted, especially in spaces where you are sharing vulnerable parts of yourself. Whatever your background, identity or experience, you’ll be met with openness, respect and empathy.
You deserve a space where your experiences are taken seriously and understood as your own. No two people are the same, and your story matters. You deserve to feel more comfortable with your emotions and more able to live your life fully, not just cope.

My approach is grounded, respectful and collaborative. In our work together, you’ll have a steady, supportive relationship where you can safely explore what you’re feeling, make sense of it at your own pace, and move towards meaningful, positive change in a way that feels right for you.
