Neil Turner Online Psychotherapy
About the Therapist
My style is integrative with a modern and creative approach. In the sessions we'll explore your life and what it is that might be holding you back, limiting you or keeping you stuck. I have experience helping individuals and couples free themselves from self-limiting beliefs, past wounds and fears.
I identify as a gay man and I moved to London in my 20s and worked as a designer. Later I re-trained as a Psychotherapist in order to follow a passion for inner work.
As a UKCP and BACP registered Psychotherapist, I have a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy. I also provide a series of practical methods and tools to further support you between sessions. Below are some of the areas I often work with:
- Low self-esteem
- Self-doubt
- Anxiety and depression
- Low mood, low libido
- Relationships difficulties
- Addiction recovery
- Finding meaning and purpose
- Building confidence
- Navigating sex and sexuality
- Ongoing sense of unhappiness when everything seems good
- Difficult families and scapegoating
- Creativity
You may have ongoing feelings that you don't understand or just feel that something is off or missing. You might feel that there is something wrong with you and that others seem to be able to do life better.
You don't need to know what the issue is to work with me or have any experience with therapy. My job is to help you understand what's going on and help you develop new ways of perceiving and responding, both to yourself and the world around you.
“Neil’s helped me understand so much about myself, particularly how my family set up and past experiences have shaped the person I am and how I’ve been feeling about myself. He’s helped me challenge my own beliefs resulting in a transformation in my self-esteem. I’m the most confident version of myself to date and for the first time in my life I really like the person I am.” June 2024

In my practice I explore the cause of anxiety, fear and unhappiness and provide practical solutions to help you move forward. You may also want help dealing with relationships dynamics, family, sex, conflict, love or addressing work-life balance as well as finding more meaning and purpose or becoming more creative.
What is Creative Psychotherapy? Everything in life as creative. This includes your thoughts, relationships and your daily choices and decisions. Without knowing this it is easy to get lost in beliefs and and intrusive thoughts. Once you know how this works you're able to engage with your life with more motivation and optimism.
I also explore your experiences growing up LGBTQ+ and how this may have effected your self-esteem, anxiety, stress levels, relationships and confidence.
Narcissism / Gaslighting / Scapegoating
In family or perhaps in a relationship you may have had your feelings and experiences denied, "you've got it all wrong" or "it wasn't like that", "I don't remember it" or "it's all in your head"? Similarly you may have been excluded or disregarded and you can't figure out why. This experience will have left you with doubt, confusion and shame. Working with me on this can offer a way to understand, overcome and recover.
