About the Therapist
Prior to training to become a psychotherapist I worked in charities and the public sector, focusing on wellbeing in the workplace. In this work I had training with Gendered Intelligence and worked with people from across LGBTQIA+ identities. I loved the relationships I developed supporting people through some of the toughest of times. Then through my own therapy I realised I wanted something different and in 2022 began my psychotherapy training. When working with clients I use a range of techniques and adapt these to you. These techniques tend to focus on your past and how you came to be who you are now, your present situation, and what you want in your future. I’ve discovered that everyone is truly on their own unique path and therapy can help you discover yours.
I started my psychotherapy training by completing a certificate in counselling skills with CPCAB in 2022. Since then I have being studying for a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy which is accredited by the UKCP. I have been working with clients as a volunteer counsellor for nearly two years at different placements and have undertaken work with a wide variety of people. One of these placements included several clients who identified as LGBTQIA+.
