Samuele (Sam) Russo (they/them) – Supervision and Consultancy
About the Therapist
Supervision, which I prefer to call it inter-vision to emphasise the horizontality of knowledge. In this process I am not sitting above you but rather beside you. It is a process during which you and I are learning together; about your work, about one another and about ourselves.
Reflection – I see supervision as a container where you can take time to reflect on your practice. Being with you, I listen, and will mirror back what I hear of the story you present.
Crucial to supervision is creating a space in which trust can develop. This is open to a broad range of professionals from psychotherapists, counsellors and creative arts therapists to teachers, body workers and artists.
Soulful – From Alchemy, the Axiom of Maria reminds us that ‘one becomes two, two becomes three, and out of the third comes the one as the fourth’. The process of supervision invites both of us to reflect on your work, and because of this reflection new possibilities can emerge.
Queer Abundance – Questioning the norm and being critical of what is taken for granted; honouring that reality is never singular but rather plural as our multiple experiences.
Individuality – I am committed to practising supervision in ways that are inclusive, accessible, and affirming to supervisees from all backgrounds, cultures, races, beliefs, sexualities, abilities and gender identities.
Consultancy is, unlike supervision, one-off rather than regular in frequency. The principles of my work remain the same as listed above.

Sessions are usually 60 minutes long unless agreed otherwise. My fee is operated by a sliding scale to charge everyone the right amount.
This means that supervisees who are in a financial positions to afford the top end of the scale will help supervisees who are financially less privileged and yet equally in need of supervision.
An initial free 30-minute conversation can be arranged before the assessment process begins.
