About the Therapist
I am an LGBTQIA+ clinical psychologist from Tahiti and France, who also studied and worked in the U.S. and in the U.K. in the fields of anthropology, psychology and human rights.
Often, I work with clients who struggle with a range of life challenges, experiencing as a result feelings of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or isolation. Through therapy, we can explore what may be contributing to the way you are feeling, and how to approach it.
Relationships are essential for our mental health - they shape who we are and can be a source of great fulfilment, but can also cause us distress. My aim is to provide a space where you can gain deeper insight into your own history and relational patterns, so that you can form healthy and fulfilling relationships.
I have specialist training and lived experience of OCD. I've worked with clients severely impacted by their OCD, clients in inpatient treatment, and clients with complex co-occurring mental health issues and trauma histories. I integrate ACT into ERP and can help you understand your OCD, develop skills to cope with obsessive thoughts and let go of physical/mental compulsions.
I also have extensive experience working with complex and co-morbid mental health issues. In NHS and non-profit settings, I worked alongside survivors of trauma, childhood abuse and sexual assault, and with clients seeking asylum after experiencing torture and discrimination. This has shaped my practice, as I always try to consider clients and the wider systems impacting them and their communities.
Mental health issues can affect anyone, and I work with clients from all backgrounds. However, because some issues can be intensified within certain communities, I also work with LGBTQIA+ people who often struggle with not feeling accepted and social isolation.
I work online, offering therapy in English or French.
