About the Therapist
I am a qualified psychotherapist with a background in psychology. Over the years, alongside working with people individually, I have worked on psychoeducation, particularly translating obscure and confusing psychological ideas into clearer, more accessible concepts.
I have seen the many misunderstandings and myths around mental health, therapy and psychological knowledge more broadly. I try to contribute some clarity where I can, although there are rarely simple answers. There is usually more complexity, contradiction and context involved than we might initially want or expect.
In practice, this means I try to understand not only symptoms or diagnoses, but the person, their context and their emotional, psychological, and external lives.

I offer a space to think together about what is troubling you, with particular experience working with low mood, loneliness, self-esteem, difficulties with assertiveness, and how these struggles can affect relationships and intimacy. I also work with your concerns around digital life, dating apps, pornography, if and when these no longer feel satisfying and instead begin to affect your wellbeing, relationships, or daily life in negative ways.
The work focuses on understanding and making sense of difficulties, so that you can relate to them with more clarity and have more choice in how you respond to them.
