Richard English - Online
About the Therapist
I'm Richard English (he/him), a gay psychotherapist based in Chancery Lane, Central London, and online. Feeling comfortable with your therapist is key, which is why I aim to create a non-judgmental, confidential space where you can feel heard and supported.
I have a background in marketing, photojournalism and TV production, so understand the business world and the importance of empowering people to find and use their voice.
I volunteered for THT (Terrence Higgins Trust) and Stonewall, and was a trustee for London Friend.

I recognise the difficulties queer men can feel around intimacy and vulnerability, and regularly work with the impact of shame, internalised homophobia, and societal prejudice.
I can help you challenge unhelpful self-beliefs and develop effective coping mechanisms and resilience, enabling you to reduce stress and find clear strategies for lasting change.
Therapy can provide space to explore many aspects of relationships. This might mean navigating single life and dating, your relationship to sex, or working through barriers that make connection difficult. It can also involve deepening communication and intimacy within a relationship, or considering opening it up.
Being an 'integrative' psychotherapist means I draw from a toolkit of different approaches (like psychodynamic, CBT, and relational therapy) which enables me to provide a service that's tailored to you.
