Looking for a therapist can be a daunting experience, especially if things are tough for you right now, but you have taken the first step! I have experienced many times, both as a counsellor and personally in therapy, how people begin to feel less burdened and overwhelmed in their life when they feel really heard and accepted without judgement or criticism. I believe that the counselling relationship is a collaborative and dynamic process, and I am always receptive to feedback, as it can shape the dynamic between us. In therapy, sometimes things can feel worse before it feels more manageable.
Hi, I’m Dilya, a qualified counsellor based in London. I offer counselling services both online and in-person, with locations in Bromley and Beckenham (South East London). I specialise in supporting individuals through significant identity changes, such as parenthood, pregnancy, immigration, marriage, divorce, and LGBTQIA+ identity. Within these themes, I work through challenges incl. fertility journeys, miscarriage, termination, LGBTQIA+ issues incl. parenting, coming out, loss of meaning, mixed ethnicity, ‘third country kid’, assimilation struggles, feeling excluded, spirituality and loneliness. I also work with the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals from Asian, Black, mixed-race, Muslim, Orthodox Christian, and other diverse backgrounds.
LGBTQ+ Affirmative, Addiction and Trauma Informed.  My approach is psychodynamic, meaning that we will work in a way which explores links between past and present relationships and experiences. In particular, I can help you to explore how the impact of the past has led to the development of unconscious, repetitive patterns in the different parts of your life such as intimate relationships and work, which may have become unhelpful. By becoming aware of these parts of yourself that may be hidden, more informed choices can be made and life can be experienced from a place of increased emotional freedom.
I’m Anna, a humanistic counsellor working online and in person in Hackney. I currently have a small amount of availability for new clients, mostly in daytime slots – please contact me for more details.
Hi my name is Amanda Webster and I am a personal centred therapist who over the last 5 years has worked with numerous people within the LGBTQ+ community, helping those through transition (both journeys of transition) globally and I have numerous clients who are ADHD and Autistic who need help working their way through the maze of late diagnosis and understanding themselves – I have noticed many autistic and ADHD clients are also within the LGBTQ+ community.
I’m Lucy, a counsellor offering online counselling, and specialise in working with Transgender and LGBTQ clients. I offer a safe and non-judgmental online space where we can build a strong and empathetic therapeutic alliance. Within this we can explore your experiences and the unique issues facing you, without the discrimination and invalidation you may encounter in the world.
