I’m an integratively trained, queer psychotherapeutic counsellor who offers both short- and long-term online therapy for adults across the UK and internationally. I work with a range of clients and have particular clinical and academic experience supporting trans and gender-diverse people. I often work with thoughtful, psychologically curious people who appear highly functioning outwardly but experience a rich and sometimes overwhelming inner world. Early relationships, minority stress, and other difficult experiences may impact this.
I offer psychotherapy sessions online, as well as face-to-face in the Morecambe/Lancaster area. What you can expect from me is a warm, non-judgemental, supportive space in which we can explore what brings you to therapy. Everyone has a unique story, and my aim is to help you find some healing, develop the strength and resilience needed to face challenges with compassion and dignity, banish any sense of shame, and move toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you.
Hello, I’m, Sam. I have 20 years experience working in emergency medicine, involving trauma and PTSD. I believe the relationship between client and counsellor is key to make positive change. I’m empathetic and engaged,
If you are looking for couples relationship therapy, individual therapy, person-centred therapy or behavioural Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I offer all this in my practice. I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation, so we can chat about what you want to bring to therapy, what you want from it, explore any questions you have and so you can get a sense whether I could be the right therapist for you, before booking a session. I offer face to face or online sessions on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
My name is Matthew, I am a qualified integrative therapist working in-person in Hampstead, and online across the UK. My professional journey began in 2009 through completion of a certificate course in counselling skills and I have since graduated from a BSc (Hons) in Counselling, a degree accredited by the BACP where I am also a registered member. My dissertation project was about the psychotherapeutic experiences of men engaged in chemsex, an area of particular interest to me. I also have interest in the relationship between sexuality and religion, an area I hold developmental training for.
I am a counsellor working online. I also provide counselling from rooms in Holborn/Chancery Lane and Hackney. The largest part of my work is with Queer / LGBTQ+ clients, and I have previously worked with two LGBTQ+ organisations (Switchboard and East London Out Project). I have had additional specialist training from Gendered Intelligence and Pink Therapy. My core training is in humanistic counselling so I am trained in a range of approaches, but primarily practice using gestalt therapy. I am committed to a trans-affirming, queer-affirming, anti-racist approach.
I am a multi-modality trained therapist, offering a reflective space for LGBTQ+ individuals seeking meaningful change. My practice integrates Transactional Analysis, Jungian Analysis, Dream Exploration, Gestalt and Person-Centered therapy, bringing a rich, creative, and trauma-informed-approach to our work. I offer a space where all identities are seen, heard, and valued. I provide a space to engage with unconscious patterns, personal mythologies, and deep-rooted narratives, making sense of your experiences in a way that feels authentic to you. It is an exploration of self-awareness, a reclaiming of your story, and a step toward greater freedom in how you live and relate.
I am a queer therapist, offering a warm, person-centred space for LGBTQIA+ adults in Edinburgh and online. My work is grounded in an understanding of identity, sexuality and belonging, and in the healing potential of being deeply heard. I support clients through experiences of loss, transition, shame and disconnection, as well as moments of pride and joy. My approach is queer- and trans-affirming, inclusive, sex-positive and kink aware. Together we can explore what it means to inhabit identity with greater ease and self awareness.
