A few months ago, were you thinking about starting therapy? A few months from now, will you still be thinking about starting therapy? Or instead, will you already be well on the path towards feeling more solid and centred in your life?  Imagine what that could feel like. I believe passionately in de-mystifying therapy and showing up as my fully human self with you. I bring my empathy, humour, enthusiasm and sweary vocabulary to the connection – because I am a human first, therapist second. I am both real and relatable.Â
I offer a holistic, existential therapy informed by the enduringly radical concepts of congruence, empathic understanding and non-judgemental acceptance. Staying present in a traumatising world of constant distractions is a universal challenge for us all. My way of working with dis-ease recognises the complexities that exist within, between and around us and how we experience ourselves over time. I am interested in the intersections of existence, how privilege and othering shift in different contexts to either empower or constrain us and how we make sense of that and also deepen our awareness of our impact on others.
I am a Clinical Psychologist with particular skills in working with trauma, emotional dysregulation, unusual experiences (e.g. psychosis), anxiety disorders and depression. I am experienced at working with neurodiversity. I am person-centred and try to work anti-oppressively, meaning that I think with people about injustice they may have experienced and how that might have impacted them, as part of our therapy. I work integratively, meaning that I draw on many different models as a therapist.
