Hello, my name is Dan Cohen (he/him). If you’re here it’s likely that you are considering therapy. Maybe there is something specific you are struggling with, or you are feeling overwhelmed in day-to-day life and need a safe space to share, or perhaps you just want to get to know and understand yourself better. Whatever you are experiencing, everything is welcome. Through working together I will provide a holding and supportive space where you can bring and explore all parts of yourself with compassion and empathy. This process can lead to a richer, more joyful, more authentic, and more meaningful
I’m a queer, Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in Newcastle upon Tyne. I work in private practice, both in person and online. My particular areas of interest are in LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy, working with trauma, and neurodiversity. My approach is relational, aiming to meet you where you are and offer you space within the therapeutic relationship to support you with the challenges you may face in your life, so that you can feel more able to grow in the ways that feel right for you. Â
Do you want honest, supportive supervision that accepts you as you are and helps you to grow and challenge yourself? Face-to-face sessions in Edinburgh or online available.
I am a Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, whose practice is guided by the belief that healing happens not in isolation, but in relationship- to ourselves, each other, and to the wider social field we are part of. My Gestalt approach offers a holistic, creative and embodied (meaning ‘felt and lived’ through the body) way to make sense of your challenges and difficulties. I am interested in helping people explore how they can find their own way to live more fully and meaningfully– with a greater sense of choice, self-acceptance and connection.
From navigating trauma and distress, to exploring identity and intimacy, my practice is rooted in flexibility, collaborative trust, and evidence-based care. I believe that therapy allows you to take a more active role in understanding and experiencing your emotions, thoughts and beliefs. When we are not aware of our patterns, it can mean we act out certain behaviours, or experience certain feelings, without knowing why. And while we might be able to tolerate this for some time – perhaps even for a long time – I believe there is a difference between simply surviving and truly living.
My name is Reema (she/her) and I’m an online mental health practitioner for adults and adolescents. I have extensive experience working with people who are ADHD, autistic, and/or have anxiety, chronic pain and complex trauma. I prefer an empathetic, open and collaborative approach to my work, with a focus on compassion and freedom of expression without judgment. I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, EMDR, hypnotherapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and somatic work. I’ve worked as a play therapist for children and draw on my experience with kids with inner child healing work for adults
I offer in person and online counselling sessions in Cambridge around a wide range of issues. You may have a specific issue that you wish to work with, or perhaps you have a general sense of wanting to give yourself a safe space to explore finding a deeper sense of ease and authenticity in your life. Either way, I offer a warm welcoming space to do this work. To ask the big questions, to learn to sit with the emotions, to understand yourself better and to put one foot in front of the other to get to where and who
