About the Therapist
I have been a counsellor for 7 years, first in a voluntary capacity, and then in private practice. I have a particular interest in working with Trans Masculine people around all aspects of transition, in particular the diverse nature of the experience of transition itself and what it means to each person as an individual. I have regular supervision sessions for professional support and to help me work effectively with my clients and have my own regular personal therapy which I feel is important to keep me grounded. In my spare time, my interests include - photography, nature, gardening and spirited attempts at carpentry!

As well as being Trans myself, I have volunteered extensively, since 2011, within the Trans community, founding TMSA-UK (Trans Masculine Support & Advice UK) a thriving peer to peer support group on Facebook's private group platform. I was privileged to help London Friend, a London based LGBT Charity, establish their Trans support group, T on Tuesday. I co-facilitated for 4 years. It continues to be a wonderful space. As part of my training, I volunteered with London Friend as a trainee counsellor for two years and continued in that role for a further 3 years post qualification, taking on extra responsibility as a counselling assessor. Having received rich, non-judgemental and supportive therapy myself, I strive to offer the same. I am also a huge believer and advocate that, where appropriate, therapy can also involve humour and laughter. My personal life experiences have been varied and frequently challenging, often a roller coaster! By combining formal experience and personal experience I can offer a unique perspective with which to help clients. I have a good understanding in relation to disability, chronic pain conditions and neurodiversity.

My standard fee is £60 for a full hour session. I sometimes have reduced cost spaces available for anyone in receipt of benefits or on a low income. Please contact me to discuss. I offer a free initial 20min consultation via Zoom or telephone, which allows us both to see if we would be a good fit.
