I have been ethically and consensually non-monogamous in my relationships for almost 20 years and am part of my local polyam and kink communities. Before counselling, I worked for almost a decade in a Rape Crisis Centre in various roles, offering trauma-informed, person-centred and empowering emotional and practical support to survivors of sexual and domestic violence, which has heavily informed my practice as a counsellor.
