Hello! I’m Katie and I own a very busy private practice in Boston Spa near York, Leeds and Harrogate with my three Sphynx cats. I absolutely love my work and you will never be just a number on my patient list; building long lasting relationships were people feel valued and cared for is critical to the way I work. I have faced my own therapeutic journey and healed from trauma and feel that this has given me more insight than any of my academic training and professional development. As an integrative therapist I will tailor your therapy specifically to you and
I consider it a sign of bravery that you’re thinking about coming to see me for psychotherapy and taking the first step on your journey towards feeling better and showing up differently in the world. We all experience difficult things in life and need people to lean on at times, to help us through some of the more painful or challenging situations or to help us grow into kind, loving people. Things that feel overwhelming today will begin to get easier and over time, through our work together, life will get brighter.
On annual leave 01/09/25 – 14/09/25. I am an experienced queer, non-binary and neurodivergent person-centred therapist and offer a deeply affirming online space where all parts of you are accepted. Whether you’re exploring identity or have been out for a while, are struggling with relationships or work pressure, or crave deeper self-connection, I’ll meet you with warmth and care. My clients describe me as gentle, grounded and supportive. Humour, tears and confusion are all welcome and there’ll  be no need to educate me or censor yourself. Just come as you are. I offer a free 20 mins consultation.
With regards to my life before the year 2000, I think it is sufficient to say that having dropped out of A level studies in 1972, I spent the next 28 years in a variety of life and work experiences. Some good, some bad yet now, in retrospect, I feel all have been meaningful in giving me the very necessary experience and knowledge of life’s ups and downs to enable me to do what I do now. My life experience, as well as my work in the community, has taught me how unique everyone is and how important it is
