Hey there, I’m James. I provide an empathic, sincere and warm space for you to explore your inner thoughts and feelings. I shall walk alongside you as a gentle guide, whilst you find your voice and develop an understanding of what may be going on.
I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist and accredited CBT therapist specialising in providing therapy for LGBTQ+ people online. I have worked in NHS services and can support people with depression, all types of anxiety, stress, burnout and relationship issues, including coming out, building self-confidence, self-esteem, self-criticism, identity and relationships. I primarily use CBT and compassion-focused therapy but will work with you on your specific goals and needs.Â
Hi, I’m Bertil, a queer trauma informed therapist that works with you to understand how your past might be affecting you in the here and now. At the root of my practice lays a non-judgemental anti-oppressive practice which is shaped by my passion for social justice. I see my role as to support you to find the answers that exist within you, but that can get drowned out with the loudness of everyday life. I work attending to the body and the mind, helping you learn to speak the language of your body with more ease.
I am bisexual/queer, cis male identified. I work with clients across the many spectrums of sexuality, relationship style, neurodivergence and gender identity. I engage with my clients in a real, authentic way and invite them to do the same with me. My aim is to support you in exploring what is right for you in your life and context.Â

What would you like to talk about today? It’s a common enough starting point in counselling sessions, but it is rarely a question with an easy answer. I offer sessions at Brixton, London Bridge and via Google Meet, offering short-term and long-term counselling, and offer a free half-hour initial appointment.
Across 9 years of psychodynamic counselling practice, I have come to an approach that is informed by my concurrent practice as an artist-gardener: co-creation, nurturing, growth and transformation are fused in our work together, cultivating the discovery of where and how you can live in yourself and in the world. The work of therapy resides in a space that we inhabit together, a space where meaning can be made or found. It is a place in the clearing. Here, lives and held views can be encouraged to be found, to be heard, and to potentially transform.
I primarily work with intersectional identities and the difficulties that can come with these. My main areas of interest and experience are queer identities, gender (including cis, trans, non-binary, and those with DSD/intersex conditions), polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships, families with mixed ethnic and/or religious backgrounds, growing up as a third culture child, Kink/BDSM, disability/illness (including hidden), surviving domestic abuse, and difficult parented relationships. I also have a particular interest in the intersection of faith and sexuality/gender (especially Islam) and a lot of experience in supporting parents and partners of trans+ people through their unique and specific journeys.
